Data you choose to provide
Browsing does not require an account. When you sign in with ChatGPT, the hosting platform forwards a site-specific user identifier, email address, and optional display name to our server. We store your site-specific identifier, your chosen public nickname, acceptance time, reviews, venue submissions, reports, and member blocks. Email is used transiently for administrator authorization; it is not displayed in reviews.
Private member demo
The optional member demo does not require an account. A necessary HttpOnly cookie identifies your private practice workspace. We store a hash of the random session token, a temporary identifier, expiration time, and any practice entries you choose to save. Demo entries are excluded from public listings, ratings, and moderator queues. Access expires after six hours. End demo or Delete my got2Go account removes its active records immediately; expired workspaces are also removed during subsequent demo creation. A daily hash of the connection IP is used transiently for rate limiting and is removed during later cleanup. Never enter sensitive personal information into the demo.
Location and map services
Location is requested only when you tap I got2Go. You can decline and search by city. The search service receives coordinates and rounds public map searches to approximately a one-kilometer grid. Queries are sent to OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim for place search and Overpass for bathrooms). Search results and queries are cached without attaching your account identifier. Loading the optional interactive map shares your IP address and displayed map area with OpenStreetMap as you pan or zoom. Map imagery loads on demand; there is no offline map download. Opening directions takes you to Google Maps under its privacy policy.
Public and private information
Approved venue details, your public nickname, and approved reviews are visible publicly. Reports, member blocks, account identifiers, and pending submissions are not publicly listed. Do not include a private home address, sensitive personal details, or information about other bathroom occupants.
Service providers and security
Hosting and storage are provided through OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure. Sign-in is handled by ChatGPT. Providers may process IP addresses, security logs, and necessary authentication cookies. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. There are no advertising SDKs, in-app payment collection, photo uploads, or background location tracking in this version.
Retention and deletion
Contributions remain until you delete your got2Go data or they are removed by moderation. Account deletion removes the active profile, reviews, submitted venues, reports, and blocks. Hosting-provider backups or security logs may have separate retention. This does not delete your ChatGPT account. Use the account deletion page or contact support if you cannot sign in.
Children and international access
got2Go is designed for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create a member profile if you are under 13. Services and providers may process data in countries other than your own.
